Treating Overeating, Smoking & other Indulgences

Overeating, smoking and any form of overindulgence can be treated with Hematite stones.  It aids in bolstering low self-esteem, increases will power and in recognizing the truth of your own worth.  Hematite is used as healing in traditional Chinese medicine for blood conditions, insomnia, calming the spirit, thus aiding sleep and cooling the blood.  It is also helpful with headaches, aids in concentration,  and helps to sort out issues. Great stone to be wearing while taking tests or stressed with projects.  It helps with stimulating the absorption of iron and formation of red blood cells.  Hematite is great for leg cramps, spinal alignment and fractures as well.

Hematite is found in Italy, Britain, Brazil, Sweden Canada and Switzerland.  It’s appearance is black and shiny with a silver look when it is polished.

So wearing Hematite as a beautiful piece of jewelry and the healing properties that it maintains is a win win situation. Be sure and check out the jewelry to the right of my blog.  Find the Hematite and start wearing it for your healing.

Lucky Lapis Lazuli

Lapis Lazuli was the first healing stone that I EVER had been drawn to or purchased.  I went to a stone show at the Nashville Flea Market 3 years ago.  When I started looking at the stones I realized that I kept looking at  this gorgeous blue stone. Come to find out it was a Lapis Lazuli.  I WASN’T leaving without that stone because it was calling me.    That was the beginning of my love for the stones.

Sapphire or Lapis Lazuli: The Hebrew name of Sappir. The sacred character of this stone was attested by the tradition that the Law given to Moses on the Mount was engraved on tablets of sapphire. This is not the blue sapphire we think of as the faceted gemstone, but instead the rich blue stone now relatively popular in jewelry known as lapis or lapis lazuli. It was well known and often used by the ancients as a blue paint pigment when ground to a powder. Much of what is now sold comes from Afghanistan.

Lapis Lazuli/Sapphire  is a wonderful healing stone.  It alleviates pain, especially that of migraine headaches. Lapis overcomes depression, benefits the respiratory, nervous systems, throat, larynx and thyroid, cleanses organs, bone marrow and thymus.  It overcomes hearing loss, purifies blood, and boosts the immune system.  Lapis alleviates insomnia and vertigo while it lowers blood pressure.  Lapis opens the third eye chakra and balances the throat chakra. It stimulates enlightenment and enhances dream work.  Lapis quickly releases stress, bringing deep peace and possessing enormous serenity  which is the key to spiritual closeness to God.  It teaches the power of the spoken word, and can reverse curses or dis-ease caused by not speaking out in the past.  Lapis harmonizes the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.  It encourages taking charge of life, revealing inner truth, encourages self awareness and allows self-expressions without holding back or compromising.  Lapis brings the enduring qualities of honesty, compassion, and uprightness to the personality.  It aids in expressing your own opinions and harmonies conflict and teaches the value of active listening.  Lapis bonds relationships in love and friendship and aids expressing feelings and emotions.  It dissolves emotional bondage.

Lapis Luzli is a stone with a hardness of #5-#6.

I’ve been so blessed to have  located some wonderful Lapis Luzuli stones.  The jewelry that I’ve created is available for sale at my business.  My clients are able to take advantage of the healing properties by wearing necklaces,  earrings, bracelets and anklets.

Let me know your thoughts about this beautiful stone!!!!!!

What is Bloodstone?

This last week, Easter, brought to my mind this beautiful stone, Bloodstone.   During the Middle Ages, the red spots in the stone were thought to be spots of Christ’s blood when He was crucified on the Cross. It appears as green quartz flecked with red or yellow jasper.  The hardness of the stone is 6.5 – 7 which is based on a 1 to 10 hardness (10 being the hardest).  Most commonly known as Bloodstone but sometimes referred as “Heliotrope”. Bloodstone is a great reminder of Christ’s sacrifice for us, whether the stories are correct or not.

Bloodstone is an energy cleanser and immune stimulator for acute infections, stimulates the flow of lymph and metabolic processes, revitalizes and re energizes when the body and mind are exhausted. It helps to purify the blood, and detoxifies the liver, intestines, kidneys, spleen and bladder.  Bloodstone benefits blood-rich organs, and aids the circulation, helping in cases of leukemia as it supports the blood and removes toxins. The ancient Egyptians used it to shrink tumors, cleanse the lower chakras and realign the energies.

Psychologically, Bloodstone gives courage, encourages selflessness and idealism, and assists you in acting in the present moment.

Mentally, it calms the mind, dispels confusion, and enhances the decision-making process.

Emotionally, Bloodstone helps to ground the heart energy.  It reduces irritability, aggressiveness and impatience.

Bloodstone is a beautiful healing stone that we all can benefit from its healing properties. Be sure and check out the etsy tab to the right.  You will find many pieces of jewelry made of Bloodstone.
