Did you ever watch your white kitchen cups turn a brownish color even after washing them?

Coffees, teas, highly pigmented foods do this to your cups, and also your teeth.

Common stains from food attach to plaque and tartar buildup on the teeth.

There are some easy things you can do at home in between your dental teeth cleaning visits to keep your teeth white and fresh looking.

Here’s a list of tips and recommendations:

Keep your mouth clean; it cuts down on stain build up. If you can’t brush after every meal, make sure you rinse food out of your mouth after you eat.

Strawberries whiten teeth! Rub one on your teeth every day-or mash and apply with your toothbrush (rinse mouth afterwards)

Brush your teeth with a paste of baking powder and water

Rub the inside of an orange peel on the teeth

Brush your teeth with a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (rinse afterwards, don’t swallow)

Burn a piece of toast, then scrape off the black layer of the toast (it is charcoal) and mix that with your toothpaste. Brush your teeth with this at night before bed

Mix these ingredients and brush on teeth:
1 tsp baking soda dash of salt then add
a few drops of white vinegar, which will foam

Brush with mustard oil and salt

Make a paste of ground, dried bay leaves and dried orange peels (you may need to add some water). Rub on teeth

Equal parts of lemon juice and salt – brush on as whitener

Brush your teeth with apple cider vinegar

Use an electric toothbrush. Studies show an electric toothbrush can remove 98.2 percent of plaque

Great plaque dissolvers are anti-bacterial mouthwashes. Many have alcohols that aren’t all that healthy. The best natural mouthwash that I have come across is Thieves® Fresh Essence Plus Mouthwash from Young Living. It has essential oils such as peppermint, lemon, cinnamon, rosemary, eucalyptus, melissa leaf water, vitamin E, and other great stuff.

With that said, we now have to pick up and clean up in order to move onto the future. The future will be bright and a better place but we have to do our part.

Mold, mildew, bacteria, virus’ and more are developing in our state. No matter where you live you will be effected. Example: Where did your mail come from? What post office? Where they flooded? Did the post people have floods in their homes and have they washed their hands? We will have the stint ch of it all being carried in the wind. Breathing in all the impurities into our lungs.

We have to protect ourselves and our loved ones from getting sick. Make sure that you clean up any mold or mildew that you are exposed to. Stay out of the dirty water and wash your hands regularly.

A great way to kill mold, mildew, bacteria and virus’ are with Thieves. Many of you have Thieves, now is the time to REALLY use it. Use it many times of the day whether you are sick or not. This will help to increase your immune system so that you can fight off the problems that might be among us soon.

I am re-posting the information about Thieves. Please read it! If you have any questions or need to order Thieves please contact me immediately. I do have extra bottles available to purchase.

What is “Thieves”? It is a therapeutic essential oil blend. Made up of five single therapeutic oils. Clove (nature’s richest source of eugenol), Lemon ( 68 % d-limonene), Cinnamon Bark ( high in antioxidants), Eucalyptus Radiata (most versatile of the eucalyptus oils), and Rosemary (naturally energizing).

Thieves is a blend of highly antiviral, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-infectious essential oils. Studies conducted at Weber State University (Ogden, UT) during 1997 demonstrated its killing power against airborne microorganisms. One analysis showed a 90 percent reduction in the number of gram postive Micrococcus luteus organisms agter diffusing for 12 minutes. After 20 minutes of diffusing, the killing rate jumped to 99.3 percent. Another study against the gram negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa showed a kill rate of 99.96 % after just 12 minutes of diffusion.

This is a wonderful blend that has been proven to work! I have found with my clients that it has been wonderful for sinus infections, strep throat, sore throats, yeast infections, many forms of bacteria, mold spores, helps to protect against colds and flu, toe fungi, ear infections, and increases the immune system etc.

Thieves is a therapeutic essential oil that is a MUST in your medicine cabinet!

It does need to be keep out of reach from children and out of the eyes or sensitive areas. Please contact me if you are interested in learning more about ordering it.

I would appreciate it if any of you have used Thieves to please comment!

Green tea now can add another feather in its hat for helping our health. Benign uterine fibroids, which effect 40% of all reproductive-age women, cause excessive bleeding, anemia and fatigue. They also make it more difficult to conceive.

Now researchers at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tn report that green tea extract has killed the fibroids. Also, the extract has been able to eliminate fibroid lesions in animals. More human trials are scheduled for the future.

Researchers found that niacin had a beneficial effect on the plaque buildup in the walls of the arteries that supply blood to the brain. “Niacin had a superior effect on the artery wall,” says Dr Allan Taylor, a cardiologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, who headed the study. “The take-home message is clear; niacin should be the choice when considering add-on therapy.”

*Vitamin A *Vitamin C *Vitamin D *Vitamin E

*B Vitamins: B-1 (Thiamine), B-2 (Riboflavin), Niacin, B-6, Folate (folic acid), B-12, Biotin, and Pantothenic Acid

Minerals are also important to your multivitamin. Calcium and magnesium are vital for optimum health. However, the minerals listed below are good in a multivitamin. You may or may not find all listed in one formula so discern which would be most beneficial to your needs.

*Calcium – bone, teeth, and heart health; aids muscle growth and transmission of nerve impulses, normalizes blood clotting; may relieve anxiety and depression related to premenstrual syndrome, may promote weight loss, control high blood pressure and lessen chances for stroke.

* Magnesium – the “master mineral” responsible for many cellular functions; aids calcium synthesis for healthy teeth and bones, beneficial for muscles, nerves and the heart, converts blood sugar into energy; often coupled with calcium supplements – best ration of calcium to magnesium is 2 to 1.

* Potassium – aids muscle function, the nervous system, and fluid balance, Relied upon by the heart, to help regulate heartbeat.

*Iron – helps red blood cells carry oxygen in the body, strengthens immunity, assists termperature regulation. Iron is important for women who menstruate, vegetarians, and endurance athletes. Most multivitamins can be purchased with or without it.

*Phosphorus – assists most bodily functions including the production of collagen, which makes bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, eyes and skin.

*Zinc – important for wound healing, growth and a strong immune system.

*Iodine – a trace mineral involved in energy production, thyroid hormone production, growth and development

*Selenium – a trace mineral that works synergistically with vitamin E as a powerful antioxidant

*Manganese – a trace mineral that aids digestion, is vital to the development of strong and healthy bones, supports the nervous and reproductive system, and enhances brain health.

*Chromium – a trace mineral that stabilizes blood sugar and insulin levels (protecting against diabetes);p also supports normal cholesterol levels.

*Copper – a trace mineral that helps protect the nervous system and promotes cardiovascular, bone, joint, and skin health.

For Special Needs you might cater to these demands.

*Men’s Formulas – specific for men are ingredients like saw palmetto, lycopene, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil, pygeum bark extract and stinging nettle, which support prostate health.

*Women’s Formulas – target hormone balance and the female reproductive syste. May contain: black cohosh, phytoestrogens, blessed thistle, blue cohosh, dong quai, red raspberry, bayberry, DHEA, false unicorn, chaste tree berry, licorice root, ginger rhizome and marshmallow herb.

*Prenatal – a must have for expectant mothers, supplying extra nutrients for pregnant and lactating women. Folic acid – at least 800 mcg – is a necessity to prevent neural tube defects. Select formulas that are free of any artificial colo9rs, flavors, preservatives, sweeteners, yeast sugar, gluten, lactose, milk and wheat.

*Teen Formulas – general formulations of vitamins and minerals that fortify the immune system, supply energy, help clear the skin, buffer stress, and support proper development

*Children’s Vitamins – daily values specifically suited for children’s needs, to promote healthy growth and development

*Anti-aging – may contain Chinese herbs and tonics, potent antioxidants, amino acids and omega 3 fatty acids, all of which can help slow or lessen the aging process.

Liquid formulas tend to be more easily assimilated but capsules and tablets are popular as well. Take vitamins with meals to avoid possible stomach upset unless otherwise stated.
